This past weekend, the Valere Rene team took a trip to the Magnolia Silos at Waco, Texas! We are huge fans of Chip and Joanna on " Fixer Upper," so we were thrilled to take a detour on our way home from our Dallas business trip to visit the amazing venue.
When we first pulled up, Magnolia Market employees were handing out free cupcakes in anticipation of their bakery, " Flour," opening later this year. Those cupcakes were the BOMB; you could tell they were scratch-made, and the Strawberries and Cream were a hit among our group.
Walking into the amazing grounds of the Waco Magnolia Silos, we were filled with excitement and joy. Everyone was happy to help us and excited we were there. We were excited to see snow cones and our favorite Steel City Pops for sale as you walked in, and if the cupcakes hadn't had us stuffed, we would have bought both carts to beat the Texas heat.
Joanna's style was expressed everywhere around the grounds. Rustic swings, gorgeous pergolas, and a giant turf play area made for the perfect area for parents and kids alike to have a great time. Local food trucks circled the area to ensure everyone was well-fed and a garden to the side housed the cutest " Seed and Supply" store. We even saw the barn featured on the Magnolia Market Blog!
Time passed, and we decided to explore the famous Magnolia Market of Waco, Texas to escape the hot summer day. As we walked in, we were awestruck by the beauty of the pieces hand-selected by the Gaines for their customers. Gorgeous signs covered the walls, and perfect table and wall accessories were scattered around the showroom. We decided to pick up a "#DEMODAY" tee for our CFO, father, and husband, Larry, and headed into the next room. If at all possible, the second store space was even more amazing the the first. We walked down the stairs to be greeted by bales of cotton (yes, bales!) and overwhelmed by the beauty of all the products we saw. We purchased our shirt and headed back out onto the grounds.
Sadly, the hot summer Texas day got the best of us, and we decided to leave the Silos. We had a blast exploring the place we had grown to love on social media and television and can't wait to visit again on a cooler day.

Our company designs and creates a collection of handmade lifestyle handbags, ranging from unique makeup bags, to versatile purses, and beach bags for the fashion-conscious traveler, all made in the USA by fine southern ladies in Rogers, AR.
We pride ourselves in creating high-quality, stylish, southern handbags with the goal to beautify & inspire southern women to pursue their unique dreams.
Following a 20-year-career in the world of dentistry management, a personal health battle led me to put my sewing skills to use. Not only did I discover my newfound passion of handbag design, but I pursued it. The business started in my dining room, and with a lot of hard work, led me to open a brick and mortar in Downtown Rogers in July of 2014. It has been a journey of faith & empowerment, with my family at my side every step of the way.
We now have 70+ retailers across the country, from Colorado to Louisiana to Connecticut and one retailer in Costa Rica. We have been so blessed by Valere Rene and hope our success continues to grow.
